Trading involves substantial risk of loss

Trading shares, and particularly trading small-capitalisation or highly volatile shares, involves a substantial risk of loss. You can lose some or all of the money you commit. Never trade money you cannot afford to lose, and never trade money you need for living costs, debts or dependants.

Most active traders do not make money

Published studies of retail trading activity consistently find that the majority of active traders lose money over time. Costs — commissions, spreads, slippage and financing — are certain. Profits are not. You should assume that becoming consistently profitable is difficult and uncommon.

Volatility and small companies

Smaller companies can have limited liquidity, wide spreads, low float and sharp reversals. Prices can move a long way in seconds. Positions can be impossible to exit at the price you expect.

Stops, gaps and halts

A stop order is not a guarantee. If a share gaps or is halted, your order may fill materially below your stop price, or not at all while trading is paused. Extended-hours trading carries additional liquidity, spread and order-type risks.

No guarantees, no predictions

AlphaRadar does not predict prices, does not generate buy or sell signals, and does not promise any outcome. Everything shown describes market behaviour that has already occurred. Past behaviour does not indicate future behaviour.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions and for complying with the laws and tax rules of your own jurisdiction. If you are unsure, seek advice from an appropriately authorised financial adviser.
